The 120-hour window and when the clock starts
LitBuy's return guarantee is short. Within five days after the order status becomes "Warehoused" you can request a return from your own page, and LitBuy defines five days as 120 hours, beginning from the next hour after the status changes. A request after that "might not be accepted". Three conditions must all hold: the seller offers returns, the item is in a resalable state, and it has not sat in the warehouse for more than five days. Storage is a separate clock: the LitBuy warehouse page covers the 90 free days.
A worked clock: if an item turns Warehoused at 09:30 on a Monday, the window opens at 10:00 and closes 120 hours later, 10:00 on Saturday. LitBuy's website shows a UTC+8 clock, so convert to your own time and act on the first photos rather than the last hour. Inspection photos usually number three to six, with extra photos at ¥1 each, which is the cheapest way to decide before the window shuts; the LitBuy fees page lists those prices.
Decide within the first two days after Warehoused, not on day five.
What a return costs: both shipping legs plus ¥5
LitBuy's formula for a return you choose is the shipping cost to the seller, plus the shipping cost from the seller, plus a ¥5 service fee. The help centre adds that this holds even when the seller shipped free: you repay the first leg. Its interface describes the same idea as return freight plus a warehouse handling fee. If the seller shipped the wrong item, the item has a quality fault or it was damaged in domestic transit, the customer normally does not pay, unless the seller insists.
Returning an unwanted ¥159 pair of jeans (¥1 ≈ €0.12)
Item price paid, ¥159€19.08
Shipping to the seller, assumed ¥8€0.96
Original shipping from the seller, assumed ¥6€0.72
Service fee, ¥5€0.60
Net back if the costs are netted off (¥140)€16.80
The two shipping amounts are assumptions; sellers set their own. We could not see whether LitBuy nets the costs from the refund or charges them separately: its help says to make sure your account can cover the return shipping and service fee when you apply. Either way the refund total is based on the price you actually paid, and the international shipping fee is not involved because the parcel never left. For a first haul, a ¥19 return cost on a ¥159 item is a fair price for the option. If returns worry you before you have even ordered, the WhatsApp QR on our contact page lets you ask about an item first; you still pay per order.
An unwanted ¥159 item cost about €2.28 to send back in this example, and the seller must agree.
Items that cannot be returned
The return guarantee is a seller-side service that LitBuy passes on, so seller rules apply. For items on this list, LitBuy says it will negotiate with the seller after receiving your request, but the final result is the seller's decision.
| Group | Examples LitBuy gives | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Custom-made | Tailored designs | Negotiated; seller decides |
| Tags or packaging removed | Clothes with tags removed; packaging removed at your request | Not returnable under the guarantee |
| Second-hand, outside mainland China | Goods from overseas, Hong Kong or Macao | Not returnable |
| Underwear and socks | Underwear, socks, leggings | Not returnable |
| Adult, food, books | Biscuits and sweets; 15 or more books | Not returnable |
| Opened sealed products | Cosmetics, perfume, personal care | Seals must stay intact |
| New trainers | Anti-theft clasp and anti-damage sticker | Must be uncut and working |
Anything bought in a promotion may carry its own bar: LitBuy's interface says items purchased during a promotion cannot be returned or exchanged. Check the product page before you commit, and the ordering guide shows where each status appears.
Check the exclusion list before buying trainers, underwear or sealed items, not after.
Cancel or return: what each order stage allows
| Stage | Option | Cost | Refund route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unpaid | Cancels automatically after 72 hours | None | Nothing was paid |
| Paid, not yet bought | Cancel from the orders list or ask support | None from LitBuy; payment provider fees not refundable | Usually LitBuy balance |
| Seller has shipped | Becomes a return | Seller must agree | As returns below |
| Warehoused, within 120 hours | Return request | Both legs plus ¥5 | Price paid, to balance or original method |
| Warehoused, after 120 hours | No guarantee; quality problems only | Depends on seller | Case by case |
| Parcel packed | Cancel the parcel | ¥20 plus materials, unless LitBuy's fault | Shipping to balance |
| Delivered abroad | Email support first | Return shipping is yours unless LitBuy erred | After inspection |
A return requested while the order status is "not shipped" costs nothing, because LitBuy charges only when the item is already stocked and has no quality issue. The rehearsal parcel has its own ¥20 and is not a return.
Free before the seller ships, ¥5 plus freight after storage, ¥20 once packed.
Bestellung stornieren: cancelling an order, step by step
For "LitBuy Bestellung stornieren" the answer depends on where the order is. An unpaid order cancels after 72 hours; do nothing and it vanishes. A paid order waiting to be bought can be cancelled from your orders list or by asking support, depending on its status, and the refund generally goes to your LitBuy balance, minus any fee charged by the payment provider, which LitBuy says is non-refundable. If the seller is out of stock, LitBuy's interface says it will buy when stock arrives if the seller gives a date, and otherwise asks you to cancel and place a new order. Once the seller has dispatched, cancelling is a return and needs the seller's consent.
- Open your orders list and check the status.
- Cancel (or ask support if no button shows) only while it reads waiting to be bought; LitBuy warns that a cancellation cannot be undone.
- Check where the refund went in your account within a day or two.
- If stuck, write to support using the routes on the LitBuy customer service page.
Cancel fast while the status says waiting to be bought; after dispatch it is a return.
Rücksendung nach der Lieferung und die Refund-Wege
For "LitBuy Rücksendung" after a parcel reaches Germany, the rules are stricter than the five-day guarantee. Contact [email protected] first and get approval; a parcel sent back without authorisation may not be accepted or refunded. Include the order number, item name, reason, photos or video and what you want: return, replacement or refund review. The item must be unused, undamaged and in original condition with packaging and labels. LitBuy gives the return address; never use the sender address on the box. You pay return shipping unless the fault is LitBuy's or a confirmed product issue, and LitBuy is not responsible for returned parcels that are lost in transit, so use tracking.
Refunds follow inspection. LitBuy states 3–7 business days of processing and then 5–10 business days for the bank, so about 8–17 business days after the warehouse accepts the item. International shipping, service fees, payment processing fees, duties and taxes, and completed services are not refunded. Refunds go to the original payment method only, with no cash, third-party PayPal or another card, though card-paid orders may be credited to your LitBuy balance, so look at both. Report damage quickly: LitBuy asks for contact within 7 days of delivery, and the unboxing video you filmed when opening the parcel is the evidence. If you pay for each order separately, as the LitBuy payment methods page recommends, tracing a refund takes one order's records, not a whole balance.
After delivery: ask support first, keep the video, and expect two to three and a half weeks.
Questions buyers ask
What is LitBuy's return deadline after an item is stored?
You have five days, which LitBuy defines as 120 hours, counted from the hour after the order status turns to Warehoused. The seller must offer returns and the item must be resalable. After the window LitBuy may not accept the request, though a genuine quality problem can still be taken up with the seller. Photograph your items and check them the day they are stored.
Who pays for a LitBuy return?
If you simply do not want the item, you pay the shipping to the seller, the original shipping from the seller and a ¥5 service fee, even if the seller offered free shipping at purchase. If the seller sent the wrong item, the item has a quality fault or it arrived damaged in domestic transit, the customer normally does not pay.
What does LitBuy refuse to take back?
LitBuy's help excludes custom-made items, clothes with tags removed, second-hand goods, goods bought from outside mainland China, underwear and socks, adult products, food, 15 or more books and opened sealed products. Some categories, such as new trainers, need anti-theft clasps and stickers intact. Items bought in a promotion may not be returnable or exchangeable either.
What does cancelling a LitBuy order cost at each stage?
If the seller has not shipped, ask to cancel from your orders page or through support; LitBuy refunds item and domestic shipping, usually to your LitBuy balance, and provider fees on the original payment are non-refundable. Once the seller has shipped, the cancellation becomes a return and needs the seller's agreement. Unpaid orders cancel themselves after 72 hours.
How long does a LitBuy refund take, and where does it go?
For a parcel returned after delivery, LitBuy states 3–7 business days of processing after inspection, then 5–10 business days for your bank, so roughly 8–17 business days in total. Its Refund Terms say refunds go to the original payment method only, while its interface says card-paid refunds can be credited to your LitBuy balance, so check where yours lands.
Can I return a LitBuy parcel after it arrives in Germany?
Only with approval. Email [email protected] first with the order number, item name, reason and photos or video; do not post anything back. The item must be unused and in original condition, and you pay return shipping unless LitBuy erred. International shipping, service fees, payment processing fees and duties are not refunded. The return address comes from support.
