The nine steps LitBuy itself lists
LitBuy's help article "How to Use LITBUY" describes nine stages, and they are a fair map of what you will see in your account. The wording below is ours; the stages and time promises are LitBuy's.
- Order submitted. You place the order and pay.
- Order placed. A LitBuy agent buys it from the seller. The guide says "within 24 hours" in one place and "within 6 working hours" in another, so expect the same day to the next.
- Seller shipped. The seller sends it to LitBuy's warehouse, usually 3 to 5 days.
- Arrived at warehouse. The parcel is scanned in, about 48 hours after the courier hands it over.
- Inspection and storage. QC and shelving within 24 hours.
- Shipping requested. You choose stored items and submit a parcel.
- Parcel packed. Packing within 24 hours of submission.
- Shipped. Tracking appears on the Parcel page.
- Delivered and confirmed. You press Confirm Receipt.
Add the promises up and the warehouse side alone is roughly a week to ten days. The transit time comes on top; see the delivery-time page for the two cheapest Germany lines at 8 to 15 working days.
Nine stages; the warehouse side alone takes a week or more.
Registering and pasting your first link
Registration needs an email address and a password, via the Sign Up button at the top of litbuy.com. If you came through someone else's invitation link, enter the invitation code before you submit, because LitBuy says it must go in at that step. We print no codes; the invitation-code page explains what a code does and who benefits.
Then find the item. For Taobao, Weidian and 1688 you copy the product link and paste it into the search bar. You can also search by product name, as the guide describes. The format is on the links page. On the product page choose colour, size and quantity, write any request in "Leave a message", and press Purchase Now. Confirm your address so LitBuy can check available lines, then Submit Now.
LitBuy cannot purchase items from cross-border shopping platforms. If a row on your spreadsheet points to AliExpress, Temu or a similar site, buy there directly instead. For the safest start, test with one low-cost row before you commit a whole haul.
One email, one pasted link, one test order.
Fill & Buy for Yupoo, Xianyu and links LitBuy cannot read
Platforms that cannot be searched directly, such as Yupoo albums and Goofish (Xianyu), go through Fill & Buy. You type the item details yourself: link, title, colour, size, quantity and price. LitBuy's guide says to enter 1 CNY as a placeholder if the price is unknown. Orders placed this way may carry extra service fees, no-reason returns are not accepted, and LitBuy says it cannot verify the quality or authenticity of such items. That makes Fill & Buy the higher-risk route; read the returns page before using it.
Fill & Buy works, but you carry more of the risk.
Reading the order statuses
LitBuy defines the statuses in an article updated 23 June 2026. The two you need to react to are Pending Payment (72 hours) and Clear Balance.
| Status | Meaning | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Pending Payment | Submitted, not paid; cancels after 72 hours | Pay within 72 hours |
| Pending Orders | Paid, queued for an agent | Wait |
| Clear Balance | Item or domestic shipping cost more than you paid | Pay the difference |
| Ordered | Bought, waiting for the seller to ship | Wait |
| Shipped (Local) | On its way to the warehouse, usually 3 to 5 days | Wait |
| Arrived | At the warehouse, awaiting inspection | Wait |
| Stored | Inspected; 90 days free storage | Check photos, submit a parcel |
| Waiting for Packing | Parcel paid, being packed and weighed | Wait |
| Waiting for Confirmation | Actual weight exceeded the estimate | Pay the extra shipping |
| Shipped (International) | Left China | Track it |
Canceled orders return money to your LitBuy wallet, and Under Review and Returned track a return. The first status that costs real money if ignored is Stored: the 90-day clock starts there, as the warehouse page shows.
React to three statuses: Pending Payment, Clear Balance, Waiting for Confirmation.
QC photos and the five-day return window
When the item arrives, LitBuy opens it, checks quantity, colour, size and visible damage, takes routine photos (generally 3 to 6) and stores it. Extra photos cost ¥1 each, about €0.12 at ¥1 ≈ €0.12. A return before shipping must be requested inside five days of the item reaching Stored status, and only if the seller accepts returns. The buyer normally pays the return shipping plus a ¥5 service fee, about €0.60. LitBuy does not judge size fit or colour difference, so compare the photos with the seller's chart on the day they arrive. The QC page says what to look for.
Look at the photos the day they arrive; the window is five days.
A worked first order in euros
All prices below are hypothetical, and the weight is an assumption: a ¥159 pair of jeans, plus an assumed ¥8 of seller shipping to the warehouse, in a packed parcel we assume weighs 0.9 kg. The nearest LitBuy quote at or above that weight is for 1,000 g. LitBuy's estimator quoted €24.12 ($27.10), list price before the new-user promotion, for 1,000 g to Germany on LIT-Economy-DHL-DE on 19 October 2026 (10 to 15 working days, tax free). That quote already includes the flat €3 EU prepayment.
One pair of jeans, Germany, LIT-Economy-DHL-DE
Jeans ¥159 + assumed seller shipping ¥8 = ¥167 (at ¥1 ≈ €0.12)€20.04
International shipping, 1,000 g quote€24.12
Subtotal for a parcel submitted before 25 Oct 2026€44.16
EU €2 processing fee (parcels submitted after 14:00 Beijing time, 25 Oct 2026)€2.00
Total from 25 Oct 2026€46.16
Payment-channel fees are not in the sum: LitBuy does not publish the percentage, it is shown at checkout, and one Trustpilot reviewer in October 2026 complained about fees above 10%. Coupons are not in it either. The shipping is half the bill, which is why a second item in the same parcel changes the picture; try the shipping calculator or the haul planner CSV. LitBuy's help says you prepay on estimated weight and it refunds or bills after packing. Our habit is to pay per order, meaning each order and parcel at the moment you place it.
One pair of jeans to Germany lands near €46, mostly shipping.
Commander avec LitBuy and LitBuy bestellen: the French and German version
Commander avec LitBuy (French searches run at about 390 a month, per Semrush data for September 2026): the steps are the same. Register by email, paste the product link, pay, then ship from your LitBuy warehouse. For France the cheapest 1,000 g quote on 19 October 2026 was €23.75 ($26.68) on LIT-Quickly-GOFO-FR, tax free, 10 to 15 working days.
LitBuy bestellen / wie funktioniert LitBuy: in Germany the flow is the same. The two points German buyers ask about are customs and payment. On tax-free lines LitBuy states that it handles customs, duties and VAT; on other lines the recipient pays, such as the HF-EMS-DE line quoted at €44.05 for 1 kg with duties payable by the recipient. The footer shows Klarna among the payment icons, and LitBuy's interface says to choose the local currency before paying with it. The payment page has the detail.
Same flow in all three languages; the quote for your country is the variable.
Submitting the parcel and tracking it
On the Warehouse page you select the stored items, enter the address, choose a packing method and a line, apply one shipping coupon and pay. LitBuy bases the fee on the greater of actual and volumetric weight (length × width × height in cm divided by 8,000 on most tax-free lines). After packing it recalculates: a surplus goes back to your LitBuy account within 72 hours of dispatch, while a shortfall appears as Waiting for Confirmation. The rehearsal parcel, ¥20 (about €2.40), packs first so you know the weight before paying.
Tracking may take up to 48 hours to appear and the first update about 3 days. Confirm receipt on the Parcel page once it arrives; LitBuy says confirming early does not stop shipment. If the parcel arrives damaged, film the opening, and see the customer service page.
Pay shipping per parcel, then check the recalculation after packing.
Ordering questions from first-time buyers
How does a LitBuy order travel from link to doorstep?
You paste a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 link, pay LitBuy for the item, and its agent buys it from the seller. The seller sends it to LitBuy's Xiamen warehouse, where it is inspected and stored, with 90 days free. You then bundle items into one parcel and pay international shipping. LitBuy's help says the agent service itself carries no extra charge.
Is LitBuy shipping paid separately from the item?
You pay twice, but for different legs. The first payment covers the item and the seller's domestic shipping to the warehouse. The second is international shipping, paid when you submit a parcel. In our example the item costs about €20.04 and shipping €24.12. LitBuy recalculates after packing and refunds or bills any weight difference.
What do I do when a LitBuy order says Clear Balance?
Clear Balance means the real item price or domestic shipping rose above what you paid, so the order stops until you pay the difference. LitBuy's interface says to settle it within the time shown or the order is cancelled and refunded to your LitBuy account. Check the amount first, and contact support if it looks too high.
What can I still cancel once a LitBuy order is paid?
An unpaid order cancels itself after 72 hours. A paid order still waiting to be bought can be cancelled from your orders list or by asking support, and the refund usually goes to your LitBuy balance. After the seller ships it, you must use the return route, which costs return shipping plus a ¥5 service fee and has a 5-day window after the item is stored.
Commander avec LitBuy: do I need an account to place an order?
Yes. LitBuy needs an email registration before any purchase, then you paste the Taobao, Weidian or 1688 link into the search bar. Yupoo links go through Fill & Buy. For a French address, the cheapest 1,000 g quote on 19 October 2026 was €23.75 ($26.68) on the line LIT-Quickly-GOFO-FR, 10 to 15 working days, tax free, list price before any coupon.
Wie funktioniert LitBuy: how are customs and tax handled for Germany?
On lines labelled Tax free, LitBuy's Shipping Policy says LitBuy handles customs, duties and VAT. For Germany, the cheapest tax-free line on 19 October 2026, LIT-Economy-DHL-DE, came to €24.12 for 1 kg. For EU parcels submitted after 14:00 Beijing time on 25 October 2026, LitBuy announced an extra €2 per parcel, which it pays to customs on your behalf.
